Who Are The Hulseys? (What Kind of Nuts Would Want To Go To Africa?)
So you want to know about us? Well since you asked, we met at Johnson Bible College and were married in 1980. We have three children: Joshua, Keri, and Zachariah.
Don is a graduate of Johnson Bible College (Aleta finished after 3 years and got her Mrs. degree) and served as Youth Minister in Kentucky and Florida for 11 years. (Kentucky, Florida and now Africa are the only places we know of where you can do ministry while not wearing shoes).
First Christian Church of Seminole, Florida (Tampa Bay area) serves as the Living Link church for us. We are considered to be on staff here and make the Seminole, FL area home while on furlough. The church family at Seminole is fantastic! On your next vacation to Florida, be sure and visit. Tell them we sent you and you get 10% off your offering!
We were missionaries in Zambia from 1993-1995 with Zambia Christian Mission. These were some great years of ministry with the churches and fellow missionaries. What great memories we have, but I guess that would be for another website.
In 1996 our family moved to Mozambique to begin serving with Good News For Africa. Be sure to check out the "Ministry Info" page for more information.
Lord willing, we hope to continue serving in Mozambique until we are just too old and senile to do so (I know some of you think I am already getting close to that point).
Our two oldest kids, Josh and Keri, are grown now. Zac is still with us and in 9'th grade. Since he has spent 11 out of 14 years of his life in Africa, he is an African at heart.
